ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Proper-hander Drew Rasmussen and the Tampa Bay Rays averted wage arbitration, agreeing to an $8.5 million, two-year contract.
Rasmussen’s company, the Beverly Hills Sports activities Council, introduced the settlement Tuesday and mentioned it included an choice that had the potential to make the deal value $28 million over three seasons.
